About Us
Rehabilitation Management Inc. (RMI) was founded by Ms. Barbara Baptiste, MSc (Rehabilitation Science), RRP, CDMS, CCRC, CLCP. Services are provided throughout Ontario and British Columbia, with consulting services provided across Canada and internationally, upon request.
RMI was established in order to provide client-centered, individualized, community services to persons with traumatic disability.
Advocacy for policy change to enable access to reasonable and necessary services has been a cornerstone of RMI.
Ms. Baptiste has been active in FAIR (Fair Action for Insurance Reform), the Pacific Coast Brain Injury Society (Past Chair), the Ontario Brain Injury Association (Past-President), the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (Past-president for Ontario) and numerous other task forces and associations to advance policy for access to rehabilitation services.
Ms. Baptiste was the 1995 Regional Recipient of the Canadian Female Entrepreneur of the Year for providing employment in the community. She has also been a member of scientific research teams addressing community care plans following neurotrauma and in projects providing access to education and self-advocacy for persons with brain injury.
